On Saturday 6th August, I had the honour of presenting Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal with one of my paintings. I stood at the top of the jetty in Cowes as Her Royal Highness accepted the painting and spoke to be about my work. She loved the name “A Murmuration of Sails” and said that she had seen me and my work as she passed by my stall earlier in the day.
Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence also had a chat with me and I was so pleased to hear that having been sent a photograph of the painting in the morning, they had already decided where it is going to hang.
“A Murmuration of Sails”. The painting presented to HRH the Princess Royal.
I’m not sure what we were laughing at here but something must have been very funny. It all feels a bit of a blur to be honest.
